The Mike Allemana Quartet is a project of original music, exploring various types of rhythmic groupings  and free music concepts.  The group consists of  Geof Bradfield on reeds, Matt Ferguson on bass, and Jon Deitemyer on drums.  The repertoire consists primarily of originals by Mike Allemana. The band takes as influences artists such as Steve Coleman, Ornette Coleman (no relation), Charlie Parker, Von Freeman, and Hermeto Pascoal.
